Shop My Stash – MAC Eyeshadow Quads

I’ve recently been going through my makeup stash and trying to reorganize everything and get rid of things that I don’t use, don’t like or have gone bad. I’ve been finding all kinds of things that I forgot I even had, and realizing that a lot of my older stuff is being neglected in favour of newer purchases.

Last week, I decided to try to make an effort to use things I hadn’t in a while. I didn’t start off with a plan, the first day I just picked up one of my older limited edition MAC quads that I rarely reach for. I picked another quad for the 2nd day, and by the 3rd day, I figured why not try to keep it up all week? I managed to use a different quad for 7 days in a row and loved it!

I posted a picture of the makeup products I used every day on Instagram (follow me if you’d like!), and I’ll recap everything below.

MAC Tempt Me Quad

Day One: MAC Tempt Me Quad. This came out in 2004 with the Tempt Me/Tease me collection. I think this was the first quad I ever bought.

MAC Inventive Eyes Quad

Day Two: MAC Inventive Eyes Quad. This came out in 2005 with the Naturally Eccentric collection.

MAC Spring Colour Forecast Colour 4 Quad

Day Three: MAC Colour 4 Quad which came out in 2010 with the Spring Colour Forecast Collection. I remember this collection well – I had an invite to one of their store events where you were allowed to buy whatever you wanted from the collection a little earlier than the official release date. There were shirtless male models handing out drinks and different demos of the products going on. It was a great time.

Day Four: MAC Diana Eyes 2 Quad which came out with the Diana Ross collection in 2005.

Day Five: MAC Colour 3 Quad, also from the Spring Colour Forecast Collection of 2010. This was also the collection that the highly sought after Blush Ombres originally released with, remember those? Of course I bought all 4 of them at the time.

MAC Thunder Eyes Quad

Day Six: MAC Thunder Eyes Quad that came out in 2006 with the Catherine Deneuve collection. I’m in love with this quad, especially the goldish shade in the top right. It’s called Rye and it goes on like butter.

MAC Photo Realism Quad

Day Seven: MAC Photo Realism Quad which came out in 2009 with the Makeup Art Cosmetics Collection.

I enjoyed doing this so much that I think I’m going to make it a weekly thing for a while. This week’s theme is going to be to use a different lipgloss every day. I tend to mostly use lipsticks, so this will be a good way to switch it up.

Do you have any of the quads I mentioned? Do you make an effort to shop your own stash?
