Last week’s Shop My Stash featured one of my favourite MAC products – Paint Pots. I’ve got quite the collection but I do find myself reaching for the same few. I decided to try to use a different one each day this week. It also helped to get me out of my neutral eyeshadow rut!

MAC Perky Paint Pot

Day One: Perky. This is now out in MAC’s permanent range, but the one I have was released with the Fafi collection in 2008. This is great alone or under eye shadow.

MAC Nice Vice Paint Pot

Day Two: Nice Vice. This also came out with the Fafi collection. This is incredible with purple or even pinkish shadows. I get compliments almost every time I wear this.

MAC Cash Flow Paint Pot

Day Three: Cash Flow. Okay I didn’t even realize I was doing this, but this ALSO came out with Fafi. What can I say, there were awesome paint pots released with that collection. This will go with pretty much anything. I wore it with Urban Decay’s Honey eyeshadow, gorgeous gold!

MAC Morning Frost Paint Pot

Day Four: Morning Frost. This came out with the Glitter & Ice collection in 2011. It’s been a staple in my routine, goes well with anything and looks great alone to brighten up the eyes.

MAC Moss Scape Paint Pot

Day Five: Moss Scape. As with a lot of great MAC products, this is now discontinued. It’s a shame because it’s a really pretty green and unlike anything in the permanent line of paint pots.

This week I’m going to use a different blush every day. It won’t be hard because I have way too many blushes in my collection, but it’ll be a nice way to switch things up. I tend to reach for the same 2 or 3 all the time.

What is your favourite base for eyeshadows? Do you have any MAC Paint Pots?

This reminds me that I don’t own enough paint pots! :( When I clicked on the link, I thought it meant we could shop your stash 😛 Those pp’s from the Fafi collection look really pretty and Morning Frost too! Too bad Moss Scape is discontinued though..

Haha I’ve been thinking about trying to sell things off recently, I have way too much! I’ve been trying to shop my own stash and find old favourites again. Too often get lured in by new pretty things and neglect the old ones. It’s what I’m doing in an effort to try to limit new purchases! But yes, you do need more paint pots! Hey, you aren’t the one limiting new purchases hehe :)

Oh moss scape looks gorgeous! I will have to Google it and lust over what I can’t get :)

I only own one Mac Paint Pot, Rubenesque, which is gorgeous! I own a few more Colour Tattoos though! Student budget sadly.

Haha I feel bad because I realize a lot of the stuff I have been featuring was limited edition or discontinued. I’m trying to love what I have instead of buying more all the time though, and that’s what I have! :)

Rubenesque is a gorgeous one! Really versatile too, it’s a nice one to have. I hear so many raves about the Maybelline Colour Tattoos and have yet to try them. There seem to be so many gorgeous colours available of those too!

You need to get yourself one, ASAP! They’re cream products so if you have oily eyelids, they will crease on their own. I have somewhat oily lids, and I mostly wear these as a base for my eyeshadow. Once you set them with your shadow, they will last much longer. The coloured ones make the shadows you put over top more vibrant. If I’m in a hurry though, I’ll sometimes wear one of the neutralish ones for a bit of colour on my lid on their own. They do fade after a few hours on their own on me though.

I almost got delft and then just didn’t before it was discontinued. It’s so pretty! Maybe I should do a round up of all the paint pots I have. It could be an epic swatch post. I really like the Estée Lauder ones too, have you tried those?

hmm i only have soft ochre but these look so nice. i keep forgetting to use my cream shadows though so i feel like i should stop buying them. mostly i bought ochre to be a base but even then i keep forgetting about it.

I forget about a large portion of what I have haha. I’ve been going through my stash trying to organize and get rid of things and I keep finding things that I’ve had a while and either rarely or never used it.
