So I just finished week two of my Shop My Stash series. Week one featured my Limited Edition MAC Eyeshadow Quads, and week two was lip gloss. I decided to pick glosses because I rarely ever reach for mine, I’m more of a lipstick girl and have been neglecting my glosses.

MAC Flusterose Lustreglass

Day One: MAC Flusterose Lustreglass. I find I like Lustreglass better than MAC Lipglass, it’s less sticky. I hadn’t used this one in a while, but it’s nice.

MAC Adventurous Lipglass

Day Two: MAC Adventurous Lipglass. This was an early favorite of mine, I used it often when I first got it, and it’s actually almost finished.

MAC Viva Glam V Lipglass

Day Three: MAC Viva Glam V Lipglass. This was another one that I had in heavy rotation for a while and it’s almost done as well.

Day Four: Bite Beauty Cocoa Lip Gloss. I got this mini in a trio late last year. I’m kind of obsessed with Bite Beauty lip products and I’ve been impressed with the glosses I’ve tried so far. This is quite sheer, but has a great consistency and doesn’t feel too sticky. By the way, does anyone else have this Estee Lauder eyeshadow palette? It’s their Five Color Gelee Powder in Bronze Sands. It was limited edition for Summer 2012 I believe. I am in love with the formula of these. Also, say hi to MAC Porcelain Pink MSF. Great highlighter!

Estee Lauder Brazen Berry Pure Color Gloss

Day Five: Estee Lauder Brazen Berry Pure Color Gloss. Estee Lauder makes the yummiest smelling lip products. I can’t even put my finger on the smell – maybe apple mixed with something? I have no idea. Either way, I’m a big fan of this formula. Applies wonderfully, and not too sticky.

I’ve come to realize that a big reason I neglected lip glosses for so long was because the majority of my glosses are MAC Lipglass and I really don’t like them all that much. I find the formula to be very thick and sticky, which isn’t what I like in a gloss. I think I’ll be tossing a lot of my Lipglasses in the next little while as I organize my collection. I’ll save the colours I really like and Back 2 MAC the rest.

Stay tuned for Week Three, I’ll be using a different MAC Paint Pot every day.

Are you more of a lip gloss or lipstick wearer? Do you have a favorite brand or formula?

Eek that would be so much fun! I’ve been eyeing so many of their products lately but I am trying to hold myself back. I have a bajillion lipsticks already. Is it weird that I want to become a Sephora VIB Rouge so I can get the Bite lipstick?

I know, the more I’m looking at mine, the more I’m wanting new ones. But the whole point of shopping my stash is to love what I have and try to limit new purchases. It’s hard! haha

I haven’t tried the mac lipgloss formula but lipgloss is a bit of a pain when not done right, I used up an estee lauder one a friend got me and it looked gorgeous but was SO sticky, the worst was when it broke and some of it leaked in my bag. I have way way too many lip products in general. back to mac is awesome though!
