Today I have another Canadian Beauty Blogger guest posting on the blog. Cassy of Exquisitely Chic will be sharing her tips on transitioning to summer makeup and skincare.

Hello lovelies! It’s Cassy from Exquisitely Chic!
Transition to Summer
Switching to warmer weather is a breeze with just a few product switches. Let’s talk about how easily this can be done!
First of all, make sure you’re paying attention to what your skin does according to the seasons. If your skin is dry year-round opt for a creamy cleanser (or cleaning oil).
If your skin is normal you can also use a cleansing oil or opt for a foaming cleanser.
If your skin is combo/oily use a foaming water-based cleanser.

Dry/Normal skin should exfoliate no more than three times a week using a gentle exfoliant (such as Dermalogica’s Daily Microfoliant or St. Ives Gentle Apricot Scrub).
Combo/Oily can exfoliate every other day using a scrub (like St Ives Apricot Scrub) and a glycolic acid peel once a week (like NeoStrata’s Skin Renewal Peel Solution).
Next make sure you’re swapping out your SPF 15 moisturizer for a sunscreen with SPF 30. Shiseido offers a fantastic range of foundations (stick, compact, liquid) in various shades and high SPF.

Switch out your heavy foundation for a light layer of BB cream and concealer to conceal spots. There’s no point in slathering your face in product if you’re going to sweat it off – and BB creams don’t feel heavy or melt and leave creases. Try Maybelline’s Dream Fresh BB Cream

Summer is going to be all about sheer, jelly-like texture. Jelly-like tinted polish, gel eye stains and jelly glosses (not to forget jelly shoes) are amongst the products to give you a gel-esque look.
