Essie Haute As Hello has been a favourite nail polish of mine for a few years now. It’ll sometimes get lost in the abyss that is my nail polish collection, but I am always so happy when I dig it out and use it.

Please don’t mind the stray cat hair on my pinky finger. One of my cats somehow senses every time I want to do my nails, and she’ll come and sit on my lap. She’s too cute not to pet, so cat fur and wet nail polish, you do the math.
Anyway this polish looks pretty unassuming in the bottle, but is a stunning bright coral once applied. As with some of Essie’s brighter and neon shades, this one dries matte and the formula can be a bit tricky to work with. I find a little patience can go a long way, just wait for each coat to dry before applying the next and you shouldn’t have any problems with streaky or uneven polish. I used 3 coats and a top coat for added shine here.
